    Nu Finish is awesome.

Threw my 9mm reloaded ammo in the tumbler and tumbled for 4 hrs with Nu Finish and was shocked as I did not know if I had somehow created gold or if it was still brass. My god...so shiny.

Its a liquid and I think you are supposed to use a cap full.

Couldn't one just add it to the media (I also use a sheet of Downy) when initially cleaning the brass?
Why after you have reloaded the brass?

I used lead casts that I tumble lube, and I dont like sitting there polishing the exess lube off the boolits by hand (alox gums up my feed ramp ). so I kill two birds with one stone and polish and clean the finished product at once. It makes my casts come out sweet looking as a dark grey; like pencil graphite. I'll be sure to post pics.

I tumble empty cases initially for about 30 minutes just to clean so i dont scratch my dies...etc etc.

I heard tumbling can cause mechanical breakdown of powder and potentially increase burn rate. What's your experience on this? Any pressure signs?

Walnut media, tumbled with a capful of liquid NuFinish ($8 at auto store) and a dryer sheet to cut down the dust. Let it tumble for 20-30 minutes w/o brass to absorb so you don't get clumps. Toss in the brass and let it run until you like the shine (depends on how dirty it is to begin with.)
                Reload. Shoot. Repeat.

I've tumbled a few hundred like this (minus the nufinish) and haven't seen any problems (after 4 hours of tumbling that is). I've pulled a couple to check as well and the tumbled rounds' powder appears consistent with non tumbled ammo.

I wouldn't think it would have any impact at all. Think of what the factory ammo goes through in being shipped to the stores. Those truck trailers are not the smoothest riding and that ammo is getting bounced around a lot. The military ammo suffers a much worse fate, supply trucks on what could barely be called roads, airlifted and then dropped. Ammo is designed to take a lot of vibration and abuse without being affected by it.

found this. take it for what its worth I guess. not exactly scientific, but good enough for me as validation as I personally havent experienced problems.

                        Shouldnt you tumble BEFORE loading?

There have been threads on this topic before and the consensus overwhelmingly points towards FUD. Gosh, I hope I didn't just start something.

Well, the point of the thread was to endorse Nu Finish as a bling-factor-enhancement-product, not question the order of my tumbling lol. but as stated in post #7 I do tumble BEFORE loading. I also tumble AFTER loading.

Post a picture of your Nu Finish results. I've been meaning to pick up a bottle.
