    Small Rifle Primers

Anyone have a lead on who has small rifle primers in stock? Midway supposedly had some Winchesters in stock today but were sold out in less than 25 minutes...

I know Midway has some CCI #41, but they are a bit on the expensive side, and I don't need a magnum style primer...

The CCI #41 is not a magnum primer. It is a military spec primer recommended for the AR platform with a floating firing pin.

CCI #41 primers are not magnum primers and they are harder than Feredal and Winchester primers. They are perfect for an AR or semi auto platform.

According to CCI they are indeed magnum primers.

Straight from the CCI usage chart-
"The 41's and 34's contain Magnum priming mix and should be treated as such."

Correct, they are as hot or hotter than magnums... They are designed to ignite military ball powder in even the coldest conditions.

As mentioned they also have a harder cup to prevent slam fires with a floating firing pin (AR, Garand, etc)

Still in stock at 10pm Tuesday.

Price is 3.5 ea plus shipping/hazmat. I did not buy any, I picked up some (10k) of the Remington 7 1/2 earlier today at PV.

                        Thanks for the tip OP.

Huh, I guess I learn something new every day. I double checked my box and it doesn't mention magnum anywhere on it. It's odd that they only mention it on their website, I would think that could be a problem for some loads. Fortunately I only use it for my ARs so I'm gtg there.
