PPU 308 Brass For Reloading - Bushing Size

Howdy folks, going to be reloading some PPU brass with 168smk and 175smk. What size neck bushings have you been using?

I just measured some with a ball micrometer and measures .336. So .334 for -.002 neck tension. BUT these have been fired 6 times and might have started to thin.

      Thanks brother.

Do you use different neck tension on gas guns?

My brass is once fired, so i was thinking of going .335 which will give me .002 beck tension... but i wonder if i should go .003 neck tension.

Not really sure because I only adjust neck tension for my bolt guns. But from what I have read, you should go -.003-.004 for gas guns.

You're right... seems .003 tension is better for a gas gun. Alright .334 bushing it is.

I'am not familiar with that die but,you have to at least fl size for a auto loader.

Interesting... i just remeasured my once and twice fired PPU... I'm getting .015

So I'm at .338 total... PPU is some thick stuff.

When I first started loading the PPU brass, I only had a regular caliper to measure them. At the time, it measured .015 and I used a 336 bushing. I now have a ball micrometer but the brass has been fired 5-6 times and it measured .014.

It is pretty thick stuff. I used a 336 bushing for PPU and CBC. I now use LC Match brass and it uses a 336 also.
