    reno run... cabelas/ scheels?

Making a run to reno to gamble but since im up there i figured id stop by cabelas and scheels. I hear scheels is the place to go for ammo.

Is that true? If so are they good for bulk? Anyone know their prices? Therre isnt much info on their website.

If you're on I80, CHP is in ticket mode the last part of this month.

What would you like to know prices on? I am at scheels every other day between summer classes to pass time.

They just got in some .22 lr it was 29.99 per 550.

I was in Scheels a few weeks ago and they had plenty of ammo on their shelves. I wasn't shopping so I don't know if the real popular stuff (9mm, 45ACP, etc) was available but the hunting/self defense ammo was. They did not have any 22 in stock the day I was there.

The same weekend, I stopped at Cabellas. Similar situation there although they had a couple of 550 round boxes of Remington 22 for $23 (IIRC). They must have brought it out recently because as I was standing there, it got gobbled up. I wasn't in the market for 22 or I would have picked some up.
Check back later for a witty comment.

            5.56 and .40 s&w.

i was looking at freedom munitions and picking up 500 rounds of their .40 but was unsure if it was cheaper there or getting it at scheels.

            30 for 550 of .22? that's not bad.

i'll have a few hundred to go buck wild on... lol.

Go to both. The ammo situation at both places changes weekly. I would also suggest calling ahead.
