Well this is $100.00 in wood and screws. I still have to purchase the 2 1/2 inch locking casters, paint, and formica top sheet. This will be my loading table a 6 foot long by 3 foot wide unit.

Be sure to plan for expansion. My first reloading area was around 5 foot long. I now have over 18 foot in lenght and is still not enough space for everything and that does not count the Gorrilla Racks that hold all the Bullets & Brass.

I know about length beleave me, I measured out the floor space and right now I'm only going with the 6x3 table and I'm making it with 4x4 legs and a ton of wood and putting it on casters so it will roll out of the way. You wouldn't happen to have pictures. Cus I would love to see what kind of reloading setup you could put on an 18 foot bench.

I made a few changes to the original plan so I ran out of wood today. I decided to install 2x4 completly across the top then a 3/8 sheet of plywood then a top sheet and I haven't decided on the top sheet, it will be steel or formica laminate.

If you plan on using 3/8 plywood plus steel/laminate cover, be sure to add some extra material under the are your presses are going to be mounted. The bolts holding your press will rip the 3/8 plywood very easy. I have used 1" plywood on top with large 1/8" steel plates about twice the size of my press mounting area underneath.

1. cross brace the back of your bench so it doesnt sway.
2. where are you located? i may be able to hook you up on the laminate top.

Well I just finished the bench primary build, 2x4's across the top and shimed, wheels installed and leveled for the finished top ( I went with wood and I will poly it and stain the rest of the bench after sanding. Man this thing is big and heavy (it took two fo us to lift it from it's side after I installed the wheels), tomorrow I will screw down the top and route the corners then wet the top and let it dry then hand sand the top untill smooth with 150,200 grit. I will polyurathane the top and then sand and stain the bottom. I'm into this for a little over $200.00 wood is costly. No way this is going to sway and it's perfectly level with the shim job under the 2x4's and the height from the floor to the top is 48 inches which is perfect for me to sit on a stool and work the loader handle without bending over.

Your more anal than me. I didn't putty the screw holes on my bench. I would have used larger wheels, those small wheels are going to be hard to lock and make it solid.

I just build a new welding cart, for my Miller and chop saw, its off to powdercoat. I used bigger wheels than on your bench. I see you have gold gas on a cart and a bit of red, dont say you have a Lincoln?

This is taking longer then expected. you can get a general idea of how large this table is I weigh 240lbs. I still have to install the sides and sand then seal the wood I won't be done with this untill Sunday.

Looks very solid, but in all honesty, i think the layer of 2x4's under the plywood is overkill. 2 layers of 1" plywood would have done just fine.

Call me picky but those 2x4s look a little uneven? I personally would have planed them flat and even after installing them on the table prior to affixing the flat surface. Regardless of what I think, good work on that table!

Good lookin table. Looks just about perfect height for ya. IMHO the perfect bench is one you can work at standing then drag a tall stool over too and still work comfortably.
