    .308 and LC 30-06 brass

Is there a market for .308 and or LC 30-06 brass? How much would they go for per 500 and 1k?

What kind of brass for the 308, what was it fired in, 1X fired?

For the 30-06 is it std LC or LC Match brass, and what was it fired in?
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Can't give you a fair offer without knowing as different brands and/or types are more desirable than others. Also what they were fired in had a direct impact on value.

Plus if they're military brand casings requiring swaging would reduce the value substantively.

check the FALfiles for .308. there is certainly a market for 308 brass, especially if it was NOT fired from a machine gun (fat chambers and heavy denting overwork the brass and lower the value). but either way, us FAL owners and other 308 semi-auto's need to be fed and loaded ammo is 2-3X what you can reload yourself. let me know what you got!

less so for 30-06 as loaded ammo is still fairly cheap but there is always a market for everything, just depends on price.

Why is that? Maybe only to folks that don't understand the difference between military and commercial brass. Or to folks that only reload a cartridge once.
Military brass usually has a better base / stronger web and is MORE desireable for that reason, for reloaders. Having to swage it is not a negative to anyone wanting stronger brass.
And not much of a problem at all, to anyone with something like a Dillon Super Swager.

From the guy who has the brass:

"The 308 is from Federal gold match and was fired in an m1a. Most of the 30 06 is standard LC and was fired in one of our Garand matches and yes it is once fired. Tim"

.308 Should be about $90 a thousand maybe a little more

                    .30 06 IMO is worth about $50 a thousand.

Again this is what I think is fair. It is my opinion nothing more.

Federal Gold Match 308 brass will be marked "FC", not LC.

Randall, I think the original post says that the 30-06 is LC, not the 308

                          Check here for some idea:

I personally wouldn't pay for Federal brass. If it was given to me, I might load it once and leave it. Its weak brass and does not last long with anything over a light load.
