Need heavy duty tumber: Recommendations?

My old 12 quart Midway 2094 tumbler finally died. It was 110 volt. It had Fasco 1.3 amp motor.

I used it to polish brass and remove lube for the last several years as I now use an ultrasonic cleaner to actually clean the brass.

I will overload the next one I buy, that's why I would like it to have a strong durable motor.

Recommendations would be appreciated.

The harbor freight tumbler is actually the biggest/ cheapest one I can find.

Do not buy the cement mixer from there... It is extremely loud both the motor and metal drum...

If I remember right the lowes concrete mixer has a polymer drum.
Thats going to be my next tumbler.

Lowes is by far the best one.... Expensive... But you get what you pay for

I recently purchased a Thumbler's Tumbler and Stainless Steel media - I can't tell you how happy I am with the results!

The brass, both inside & out - including the primer pockets are absolutely spotless, clean as a whistle, and shinier than brand new brass! I LOVE this thing!

Not nearly as big as a cement mixer, but I have to say, based on the results - I'll never tumble with corn cob or walnut again!

+1 on the Dillon big boy. Get their large media separator too, both highly recommended.

I've run Lyman 1200 and 2500's for many years. Never killed one and I've always overloaded them. Sometimes they are used for lube removal, sometimes cleaning small batches. I'm pretty sure all the ones I have are Made in USA.

We use the Made in USA poly drum cement mixer is for the 5 gallon bucket loads. And even make cement with it now and then, just have to rinse it out well. It's been going strong for over 10 years.

I have the HF big asz one. I have used it and abused it and its still going strong. I can easily tumble 500 .308. Well worth the money IMHO. One of the few good things HF sales.

Rock tumblers seem to work the best, they are also expensive. They are designed to tumble for days.

I have the HF big asz one. I have used it and abused it and its still going strong. I can easily tumble 500 .308. Well worth the money IMHO. One of the few good things HF sales.

I bought one too, item # 96923, price $199.99 but on sale for $159.99. With 20% off coupon it was $138.87 which included tax.

I dumped the contents of my Midway into Harbor Freight model and it filled the same as the Midway.

As for motor and it's amp rating I took off the bottom but could not find motor information including amp rating. I will say the motor is very large compared to the Fasco in the Midway, like 2 1/2 to 3 times as large as Midway motor.

As far as noise level when run I would say superquiet can barely hear when running.

Midway was so loud that I ran it in another garage so I did not have to listen to it.

I was thinking this was going to be a hold me over tumbler until I can get a nicer one; however, at this point I plan to stay with the HF.
