I just got 8# last week; going to start building up a load for 150grn Barnes TSX for hunting.

Try Alliant's website; they've got a good range of load data for AR-Comp.

From what I read online, it seems like it should work well. I'm looking forward to trying it out myself.

      Here's Alliant's AR Comp data sheet: http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloade...5&cartridge=80

      Your exact bullet isn't there, but you see there's data for the following bullet weights: 130 H.P- 47.6 Gr. / 150 GMX- 44.5 Gr. / 155 A Max-43.6 gr.

These are all MAXIMUM loads. I shoot 43.0 Grains of AR Comp in my 308 bolt gun with a Nosler 155 match bullet @ 43.0 grains with a velocity of 2850 FPS. This is safe in my rifle with low SD/ES numbers and no pressure signs, but this is out of a bolt gun.

Since you're using a gas gun, I'd start around 41.0 grains and slowly work up from there. Maximum should be around 43-44 grains. M1-A's are hard on brass and after about 4-5 loadings, you will have to toss the brass. I wouldn't run the loads too hot.

AR Comp has become my go to powder in the 308 Winchester. I get good velocities with 155,168 and 175 grain bullets.

I made some rounds using sierra 168 gr hpbt. Unfortunately that day I had a few to drink and forgot to right down the load data.... but they worked awesome in both my savage 308 and my lr308

sent from my tin foil tent via d.o.s. using a apple computer with a floppy drive
You kick a donkey enough and it will bite you. Yep its on the net look it up.

Yeah I saw those loads at the website, but wasn't sure how to
Go about it since this will be my firat time loading rifle, ammo

I have been loading pistol 9mm 40 45 for lilttle more than a year
          Thought I'd try something different,

Thanks for the advices will consider them all
I might just buy different weight bullets maybe 168s Sierra,
If available if not ill work up a load starting at 4.1 with 147grn bullets

You might want to check out MR-2000 from Alliant. I've had some great results and others on the internet have gotten tremendous velocities out it with no pressure signs.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.
