    lock n load shell plate

So I was just wondering if any one else has used the #45(45acp) shell plate to load up 30-06. I know it is supposed to be the #1 shell plate . but the 30-06 case seems to fit pretty snug. Does any one have any input.

    Thanks

If I remember correctly, the only reason Hornady switched from the #1 shellplate and made a specific 45 shell plate was to tighten the tolerance and eject the 45 cases easier. So, it makes sense that other calibers you would use the 1 shell plate for would work in the 45 and be snug.
I guess the only thing I would be worried about is rounding out my shell plate after a ton of use on other calibers that are too snug.

        I use the #1 shellplate for .30-06, 8mm Mauser, .308, 6.5x55, and .45 ACP with no issues.
