Published load data for 9mm 115gr FMJ w/Titegroup?

Can anyone point me to a book that has load data for 9mm 115gr FMJ with Titegroup? I'm a beginning reloader and am being real careful. I want to work up some plinking loads as a start. None of my books nor Hodgedon's website have any specific info. I've found several posts on the internet, but am not comfortable using just anyone's data.

I know Titegroup is not a good powder for beginners because of the close min/max charge and I'd rather use something else like W231 or Unique, but Titegroup was all I could find.

Titegroup is a very good powder. For 115 gr bullets I use 4.2 grains of Titegroup. C.O.A.L. 1.100.

The LEE manual has load data for 115gr Lead bullets and Titegroup and also for 115gr Hornady XTP bullets using Titegroup. The Hornady XTP are jacketed so I wonder if that data could be used for all jacketed bullets. I am to new to reloading myself to answer that but maybe another more experienced loader will chime in.

Use the LRN(lead round nose) for FMJ data. I load 4.0-4.1 for 115gr plated and fmj using tightgroup with excellent results.

Use hodgdon.com for Hodgdon, IMR, Winchester load data.

The Hodgdon site lists 115g LRN w/Titegroup??

Start on the low end and work your way up the charge weights to find something that works FOR YOU.

You can push that FMJ faster than lead so you could probably get close to the 4.8gr 1158fps that's listed for the Speer Gold Dot.

But you said plinking - so you probably don't want to go that high.

As you can see FMJ and JHP share data. There can be slight differences between mfg's, but...........

Thanks for the info everyone! I'm currently set-up at 4.2 gr and 1.155 COL using a Lee Classic turret press. I'll probably load up 10-20 and see how it goes.

4.2 will work well. I think I'm currently loading with 4.4-4.5 with great results. I'm using 115 gr plated so you can push yours a bit faster.

Great post - Im getting ready to load some 9mm with titegroup too. I have been using Bluedot but ready to try titegroup and unique. Looks like I can load a lot more rounds with 4 grns vs 7.5 Bluedot.

My last load with 115 gr plated (Berry's) and 4.2gr Titegroup worked great. 4.2gr is in the middle of Hodgdon's data. Try 4.0gr if it makes you nervous. Do it slow, take your time.

I like Unique too, fills the case up nicely. I was using 5.3gr of Unique.
