22lr high grain

What are the highest grain 22lr bullets out there? I was at Big5 checking out their selection and found that they carry Federal 36 grain and Winchester hollowpoint also 36 grain.

Aguila 60 grain.

36 and 40 are the more common weights. I think the 60 grain subsonic is the heaviest I've seen.

I bought a box of the winchester xpert 22 hollowpoints because they were on sale, same price as a box of federal. I'll have to look around for some of that 60 grain though.

If you look around sometimes you can find 42 gr bullets. The 60 gr subsonics are really hard to find anymore.. at least that's been my experience.. a bummer too since my 10/22 loved em.

I saw that midway usa has the aguila 60gr for about $44. I think I will try those after these hollow points.

the aguila 60 grain are very cool. are they really 44 a brick now? ouch.

Don't buy too many Aguila 60gr .22lrs before you try them. They tend to keyhole (tumble) when shot through most .22 barrels. You need a real fast twist rate to stabilize them.
