    Scored On Primers

Crossroads West, Cowpalace, Daily City Gun Show on reloading stuff. Picked up 15,000 Winchester large pistol primers and 15,000 small pistol primers.
Then went to the powder section to stock up on 231 and Unique. No 231 but Hodgdon makes its variation of HP-38, identical stuff. No hazmat, no back-orders.
Now what do I do with the backorders I already have for over 90 days? No problem. Just means more primers is equal to more shooting.
After I did my shopping was able to look at other eye candy.
Wow. But look at the lines and prices for factory ammo. The wait to the front was in excess of 1 1/2 hours.
    Should have started reloading.

It was a great day at the Gun Show

Nice! I need to get some small pistol. I'm good on the rest. If there is such a thing!

"Scored" is relative to what you paid. How much were the primers per K?

Be sure to add admission, parking, gas, bridge tolls if applicable. Probably getting close to Hazmat and shipping during the Happy Times....But getting 30K at one time tends to spread out the cost. But on the other hand, it's 30K that's not available to anyone else and will sit on the shelf for a long while. You need to be some kind of professional or close to it shooter, to use 30k in a year or so.

OK. How much does one pay for HazMat? $25-$30. Not even close to my purchase. Not to mention Back Order wait time.
OK pay $8.50 parking split that with friends. Admission, 10 bucks. Gas. Your're gonna burn that up no matter where you go. What's your point.
I shoot 200 rounds a week. I am no professional. I like to have fun. And thats just 45 ACP at 1/2 groups at 15 yrds

OK. I paid 34 bucks for 1K price tag x 30k. I am happy with my score and wanted to share with others saying things appear to lighten up. Encourage others to do the same. The 30K available to me. And I would have those even in Happy Times. I use them. Not horde them. How many can you count and say you are not restricted to a hobby or something you like to do. Something that you cant do as as often as you used to. If you were there I would be praising your bragging rights.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not having fun unless its 1/4 groups at 30 yards.

UPS drops the package at my front door, so no gas expended. Going to a gun show, it's a 150 mile round trip, so $25 in gas. Maybe you live closer.

During the Happy Times, I would order from Graf's, $5.95 to ship, and couple of times the Hazmat was $10 or $15. Tula SRP for $16 per K, CCI LRP for $20 per K. Bought full cases of those, plus a bunch of powder.

You did the right thing by loading up, spread the cost, and you can sell some of them to the car pool buddies. You will, won't you? They'll be begging, crying, for some....
