    Need help on pulling bullets.

My question is: Can you pull a bullet and reuse it? Also can you reuse the case or do you have to resize it, and redo all your case prep before you reseat the bullet. Sorry if it is a dumd question, but I seated a couple of bullets to deep, and I dont know if I should just forget about them or if I can reuse them. Any help would be great thank you.

yep. One thing every reloader should have is a bullet puller. i have an rcbs kinnetic bullet puller. type in midwayusa.com. then under search type bullet puller. i have used mine a lot and it has not failed me once. Also a lot ot people are worried about the primer. Some will say you need to fill the case with water or wd 40 and wait a day then take out the primer. Well heck just today i loaded a 45 Colt. Same thing it was seated to far. I did not like it. So i got out the bullet puller. Gave it a wack. Dumped the powder. Then put the bullet in the press. pulled the handle held my hand under the tube. As the unused primer fell out. then i loaded the primer. Filled the case and reset the bullet after i checked the depth.

You should be able to pull the bullet without any problems. I don't see why you couldn't just reload that primed piece of brass. Maybe needs whatever belling you normally do when you load the powder, set the bullet and you are good as new.

you will need to resize the neck befor setting another bullit. you will run the risk of shoving the bullit deep whin chambering the round.

Mark I do this every once in a wile whin setting up for new rounds. I set the bad rounds aside until I have time to pull thim and run the bras back throu the press. And yes to reusing the brass and bullit as long as you dont scar them up.

If it's only a couple of them, just pull the bullet about 1/3 of the way out and then re-seat to proper length.
          You will be fine.

I'd recommend not getting a kinetic pullet puller as it's a bit messy. get like hornady's lever bullet puller. it like a die that has a lever on top and you'll just have to get the correct size collet for ur caliber. this is the best way to pull bullets as it will not damage bullets at all and it's easier than a kinetic puller.

Just use a kinetic puller and rap it just enough to start pulling the bullet out,
then reseat them to proper length. No need to pull them all the way out and
start over. Unless they are 375 H&H mags or the like.

I have a collet type bullet puller (IIRC Forster) mounted to a rockchucker. It is so sweet, you just place the cartridge in the holder, lower the handle to carefully seat the bullet into the collet, turn a little lever on top tightening the collet, and then pull the lever up and voila, the bullet is captured in the collet, and the case is down ready for more work/or what ever else you need to do. I got it from Graf.

I have the rcbs collet puller and it works like a dream, have .30, .264, and .22 collets, at 6.99 a piece for the collets and IIRC under twenty for the die with handle it works great, no fuss no muss.
