    question about bullet depth

I have been playing with different jacketed rounds in my press. I have loaded hornaday jhp 200gr and sierra match 200 gr fpj. Hornaday says the jhp's are to be set at 1.200 but the won't run threw my Baer unless they are 1.175 is that safe? I don't want to create excess pressure... The same goes for the sierras... The strange thing is that the rounds run perfectly in my s&w 1911.... Is it that my match barrel is messing me up?

Just watch for pressures and don't get too close to any max loads. You
may have to lighten the powder charge to compensate for the seating depth
difference if creating a power load.

The chamber on the Baer is probably a tad tight, but I wouldn't worry about
it. You will probably end up with specific loads for it anyway. ;-)

    Nice guns they are!
