Range Report...First Real Range session on Newbie Loads

So, i took everyones advice and shortened up my SWC's overall length a bit. Now the COL is 1.211"...I kept the 5.2 gr winchester 231 and the same 200gr swc's. I shot 100 rounds and not one failure

Here is a pic of my best 15 yd group...showing 2.15" 5rds (I am not that good)



Overall I am very pleased with the turn out. I compared these accuracy back to back with factory loads and the accuracy difference is remarkable.

You do 2.1" @ 15 yards with your handloads. How large of a group do you get with factory ammo?

probably 3" I am a terrible shot.... That's not the point... The point is that the handloads are so superior

Don't worry. I can, maybe, do 3" groups at only 10 yards with factory ammo. We'll see how I do with my handloads.
