Bass pro this early afternoon had quite a few different brands of .22LR in bulk and an employee was stocking the shelves with 9mm luger. i was there getting a fathers day gift and thought what the heck ill look to see if there is any ammo (usually there isnt) after i made my way through the crowd of people looking at guns i couldn't believe how much .22LR they had. Federal (325) rounds per box and the Remingtion (525) round bricks and some different smaller boxes of CCI and CCI mini mags. Limit one box of bulk .22LR per customer and limit 4 boxes of any handgun ammo per customer. So i walked out with some Remington .22LR and 4 boxes of 9mm.

Hope there is some left for you guys.....

shelves were pretty bare saturday afternoon. no 22 in sight, sparse on rifle ammo, and the ONLY thing on the pistol ammo aisle was .45 winchester pdx

Back when AB 962 passed, Bass Pro immediately removed all reloading components from it's shelves and put them 'behind counter'. Many informed them that was not subject of the ammo ban law, but they persisted, until the law was overturned by the courts. They earned a life-time ban from me over that move. I, and a few others in the know, will never shop there again.

I was at the Bass Rape Shops in Miami (Dania Bch). yesterday and I didn't see any 22LR at all. Lots of shotgun ammo and a good deal of hunting stuff, but not a lot of 223 and/or 22LR.

They did have 4 cans of Winchester 296 and that was it for powder. Primers were 3 cartons of Federal LPP Magnums, some Winchester 209s and a lonely carton of Rem 9 1/2s. Bullets were a few scattered boxes of this, or that and bags of brass were down to the oddball sizes.

I've been a BPS member for over a decade, but they've just gone 'full-retard' on their ammo pricing and reloading stuff. After getting rid of reloading stuff entirely during the middle '00s, they got *****ed out enough that they brought it all back a few years ago, but half heartedly.

They were pricing their primers at $50+ a carton back in 2005, obviously not wanting to sell them, nor caring about their customer base.

For all of their 'buying power' they sure do screw the guy shopping there on price at least. I mostly go to have dinner at their fish place and look around. Then I go home and to the web and find it for 20% cheaper with shipping.

If you need a pound of powder at 9pm and are willing to pay $31 + tax for most of it, when they have it, it's a good emergency option.

I seen this happen with small gun shops and at gun shows. All handgun ammo was out of reach. Bass Pro wasnt the only retailer to do this. They were just covering there ***. Sorry to here you banned them from you life...
