Like most AR-10s, it's intended ammo is either 147gr ball, or 168 gr match.

42gr of Varget under a 168 gr Sierra MK is a good place to start. If you can't find those components, try 150gr projectiles over 44gr of Varget. That should get you going.

I have some 168gr with varget loaded already for my bolt rifle, just seeing if anyone with the M&P 10 has done any reloading for it and what its wanting. Trying to cheat, lol

      Thanks

I'm going to try some 175gr SMKs this weekend for my LR308, right now my best load is 44.5gr varget with 155gr palma match kings. But I have a 24" 1/10 twist heavy barrel so your results will probably be different. It's not perfect either I need to test it out farther still.

Beware, I'm I'm getting some high pressure signs, primer cratering and flattening a bit, although its far closer to a starting load than a max load. I was able to nail everything within 600 yards with this load, and I was still able to hit a larger target @900 yards without a rear bag, but I think the target was like 5'x5' though and it was pretty windy.

AR's I guess are not the most accurate, but for me I'm still the weak link. Here's my 100 yard 5 shot with this load.

yea, pulled the bullseye shot, I like to group my shots under the bullseye actually, so I have something to aim at haha.
