FIREARMS-When a GUN is needed more than a camera -
Love the 92 :-)
BTW, don't see anything but a taper crimp on the 25-20 rounds. Depending on level of recoil, you may want to consider a roll crimp into the cannelure to prevent setback from recoil in a tubular magazine. Fire a couple with a full tube and then measure the OAL on the ones left in the tube. If they remain at same OAL as they started at then you are good to go, if not, add a roll crimp next batch instead of a taper crimp.Comment

I like the nice relaxing pace of a Single Stage loader. I tend to take my time and do things in batches over the course of a few days at about a thousand rounds at a time. I use H4895 for my 7.62 loads (M1A supermatch) and stick powders don't meter well through either of my measures so I throw them light into the pan and tickle charge up. I even built a small platform for my scale and trickler to sit on so they are closer to eye level while I'm sitting at my bench.Some people will do skanky things for $25, and not all those people are crack whores.

Thanks. Ya I am aware, I got the dies as a early B-Day gift. I am going to try what you said and see how it works. If not I will have to get a roll die. For now if they do move I won't have any problem loading one at a time. I am hoping with the 25-20 being such a small cartridge recoil will be minimum, but either way this won't be a heavy used rifle (well maybe
)

Well went to the range today. You could not wipe the smile of my face from that Winchester 92' 25-20wcf. Man that is a sweet gun, recoil is basically zero. With such a small round and a heavy gun it basically feels like a .22mag. I don't have all the chrono log with me, but it was running around 1,300 fps. The rifling still does a good job and putting a spin on the little .25. I was 1" high @ 1 o'clock @ 100 yards. All I have left to say is you have to shoot this little guy to understand.
As far as the chrono, it was a well spent $99. It did not miss one shot in bright day light. Only down side was not being able to change strings due to the fact that walking out on a hot range might not end well. But I will be purchasing the $50 cord and software. From first impressions, if you need a chrono, do not hesitate.
