    .223 reloading help

Hey guys. Witch die set do I need to get to reload .223 for my AR? There seems to be so many to choose from. I would like to stick to RCBS since that is what my collection of reloading equipment is. Also does anyone have any good load data for 62g rounds? Thanks for the help guys.

    $26.99: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=440502

Lyman's 48th lists a 63gr JSP with a starting load of 23.5gr of AA2230 for 2926fps and a max load of 26.1gr for 3250. It used a Remington case and Remington 7.5 small rifle primers. As always, begin with the suggested starting load when changing brand or style of components.

I would look for a smal base die set for your semi auto. Most of the time you can get away with regular dies but the small base dies by redding of rcbs help to make sure that the brass used for semi autos functions properly.

i was using the redding 2 die set and i had cases stick in the chamber of my AR, the sizing die was not sizing the bottom of the case enough. i switched to dillon dies and no more problems.

Make sure you get a F/L dies. I am currently using Dillon dies and don't forget a gauge as well. JP enterprises and Dillon sells it on their website.

I use the Redding dies w/ the Micrometer in my Rockchucker for my target 223. I use the Dillon Dies w/ my XL 650 for plinking ammo. I like both sets. The stuck case remover in the Dillon is the cream! Case guage is a must have!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
