BREAKING: House Votes to Limit Future DHS Ammo Purchases

    Full link here:

...Under the House proposal the DHS would basically have to ask Congress for permission before making any ammo purchases with taxpayer funds.

In the request, the DHS would have to outline their prior ammo usage.

The measure passed 234-192, but will still have to be approved as an amendment to a larger DHS related bill, then the bill would have to be approved by the Senate and signed by the president before becoming law...
Maybe we can start to see prices come down marginally within the year! Just gotta be positive!

Not buying it. Although I'm glad it passed, they will find other means to buy it up. ie. Postal Service, DMV, Welfare Offices, Social Security Office, Skymall, etc. With this administration, there is always a work around....

I have to agree with the above. It is good that it passed but DHS will put on a smoke show about how they used so much ammo that they need more. Its easy to put things on paper.

        More smoke'n'mirrors from Conn-gress.

If they wanted to show support for freedom and the Constitution they'd have abolished the agency rather than pretend to limit it.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

The Kenyan-in-Chief won't sign it, if it ever gets that far.

They removed my comment. I posted some of the calibers DHS has been purchasing as recent as last week; 12ga, 22lr, 7.62x39, 30-30.

                The moderators deleted it.
