I've searched around here a little bit but can't really find anything. Has anyone tried putting together a list of what each caliber was going for price wise at pre panic prices?
it'd be a good tool to have for newbies to shooting, but also to people who are expanding their caliber collection.
outside of the calibers that i own, i have no idea what ammo was going for.
i know that 9mm was around 24-26 cents per round, 22lr was around 4 cents, 12 gauge birdshot was around 25 cents, 556 was 35-45 cents depending on brand type.
for me personally, i've purchased a 45 since the panic and my brother traded me straight across 1000 round for some 556 that i didn't need anymore. i somewhat remember that they were right around the same per 1000 for reloads at the ontario crossroads.
i've been thinking of expanding to revolvers but outside of 22lr, i have no idea where to start. i'm going to pick up a big bore that can shoot 357/38 special but don't want to over pay for ammo to severely.
what say you calguns?
