Lee's and Speer are good. I've heard great things about Lyman's 48th edition and ABC's of reloading.

        Speer.
Although all books will be biased towards their products.

I first reloading book was from Speer, and it was good. Then I bought the Lyman and Sierra books. The Lyman was a good reference, but Sierra had a great section on reloading rifles and pistols that helped me fill in the gaps I didn't understand.

Lyman is the best to start with.

+1 - it's got some damn accurate loads that you just follow the recipe for. And lots of good information for people who are new to reloading.

Lymann covers all the general how to stuff and basics. For a second book I like "Modern Reloading 2nd ed." by R. Lee It's not slanted toward any one manufacturer so it shows more bullet weights and powder types for each caliber, especially the popular ones. It's hard bound and will last many years. The biggest recommendation I would give to a new reloader is try to buddy up with someone with a lot of experience if you can. An hour of face to face tutoring would get you well down the right path.
