    40 s&w

I want to start reloading 40 s&w ammunition. I have the die set, winchester spp, brass and titegroup powder. I have a lee reloading manual but would like to know what bullet/projectile people use for this components. Any suggestions on your favorite load? Thanks

Right now, it's going to be the kind that's in stock.

.40 S&W for stock pistols, berry's 180gr .401 flat points loaded with 3.4gr Hodgdon Clays at 1.135" COL.

      For STI's .40 S&W, berry's 180gr .401 flat points loaded with 3.6gr Hodgdon Clays at 1.180" COL.

This recipe works with any lead or copper plated .401" TC or flat point bullets. These are what I compete in IDPA with.

I didn't like shooting 155 or 165 grain bullets in my reloads....

I loved the 180's though! The lighter bullets were too snappy for my taste!

            165gr FMJ FP or plated
            4grs Titegroup
            WSP
            1.150" OAL

It shoots very nice tight groups, about 1" at 15 yards, and cycles the Glock reliably.
