Noobie to reloading looking for help...

Any reloaders in the south SF bay area that would be interested in showing me the tricks of the trade? I'd like to get into reloading, but not really a "read the book" and be able to do it guy. I really need the visual aspect and a walk-thru. I don't have any experience at all reloading. I'd be happy to treat for dinner, or pay you for your time....

      Looking at .223, .308, .40

Once you have the basics down is it fairly easy (besides purchasing the dies) to do different claibers?

I'm in Hollister, but willing to travel. I'm looking to reload .223, .308, and maybe .40 I have no equipment yet. I wanted to get together with someone who reloads get shown how the process works, what equipment (single stage or progressive) that sort of thing. Kind of like an intro class to reloading.

Here are a set of 5 youtube videos that go over the entire process, from setting up the press (Dillon RL550) to the actual process.

            Part 1: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VRZrbv_8kx4
            Part 2: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8eb_QI3YOzs
            Part 3: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FCiiRw3YYxg
            Part 4: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FTBeoEOBlRI
            Part 5: http://youtube.com/watch?v=C1KJ3hUAm28

If you want to skip the setup part, just watch 4 and 5.

Hey, here is how I got started. Go to youtube and do a search for "dillon 550" there is a series of 4 videos that take you from identifying the parts of a progressive press to the actual loading of ammunition. These videos are a great help in seeing how the whole process goes.

You'll want to read some reloading manuals, and I would strongly recommend "Modern Reloading" 2nd edition by Lee.

              good luck.

Thanks for these Youtube links they are very helpful. I think I may be just about ready for a Dillon press.
