I gotta say the class was really awesome! I learned a lot form this experience.

They started with the basics as from prepping the brass and all the way to seating the bullet. As for me i had a few issues in the process and Im glad it all happened in this class and actually learned from the mistakes. The first one I die i used didn't really resize the brass. When it was too late to actually notice it was bad I was at the step to seat the bullet the bullet didn't stay in place the neck of the brass was .5 thousands too wide. Next I didn't lube one brass very well and actually got a case stuck in the die... I felt soooo bad at the same time felt like a donkey... But everyone was very cool and calm about didn't get any negative vibes from it. BIG BRONCO to the rescue he had a case puller for the die set... Who know he actually brought that crazy!! Since I was last I gotta extra help from Dark Mod that kind of helped with my restarting process of prepping brass and seating the bullets. Overall they kept a positive learning atmosphere and I had a blast

I wanna give this time to truly thank for Dark Mod for helping from start to finish in my reloading process!

It was awesome all the components were their with a lot of experience reloaders giving great tips!!

The goal is for this to be happening state wide. So yes this will be happening in San Diego. However we need volunteers to step up and take leadership of your community, San Diego included. So if you are interested in taking leadership or volunteering to help form a CGSSA reloading club chapter in your area, PM me.

We, the Orange County Chapter, will be making our loading bench and some of the equipment available on a loan basis to clubs within a reasonable traveling distance. I will also be making plans available to build your own setup, as seen in the pictures above. However it is important to note, that we need volunteers and especially experienced reloaders to oversee and teach fledgling reloaders.

Now is the time to step up and get on board to pull reloading out of the dark corners of garages and change the face of reloading in California.

Thank you to everyone who put in the time and effort to make this happen. This was an invaluabe experience being that there were so many experienced reloaders lending their time and knowledge all for the purpose of helping educate and promote reloading. I can't think of another way I could have gained so much knowledge and experience in this short amount of time, not to mention that that I was able to try multiple brands and styles of presses and components. I can't wait to see what's next. I'm there 100%!

Also, everyone picked up some cool "door prizes" for answering reloading trivia.

I was there to help, and realized (as a relative noob), that learning on your own from books and YouTube are a far cry from learning from the best.

Who would have thought we'd get a chance at CASTING? Outstanding event.

Everyone that came was really great. I had a blast, especially running over to the casting station when there was a lul in the action.

I also wanted to thank Limsan, after everyone was done i ran off to try my hand at some casting. When i came back he had already swept out my garage, and stayed afterwards to help cleanup.

BigBronco and Bumslie really put a ton of effort into the preparations these last few weeks. Im sure it had to have been an ordeal getting all that equipment together and creating a magnificent worktable for future workshops. All of this was done out of their own pockets with their free time, so they deserve some special thanks.

The teachers were all great and it couldnt have happened without them. From making a 2 hour drive to donating their own materials for student use, these guys are the backbone of the reloading community.

The students were great as well. Cant wait for the next one

Fantastic! I finally have cobbled together enough components to start reloading .308 so I'd like to attend the next OC workshop. I'll keep checking this forum for the announcement.

I might give up in VC and just make the drive to OC.
