    Lyman Micro Touch 1500

So I have this scale which came with my Lyman press kit and I dont know what to think about it. I have read the instructions several times and it just keeps having the same issue. The 100g weight came with it wont register, it just says (full). I try weighing 3 bullets over and over and it keeps giving me different results for the same bullet I just weighed. Sometimes it seems to be between 1 and 1.5 grains off and other times who knows... Is anyone else having issues with this scale??

Are you running it on batteries or power? If I am not mistaken, it runs on either or?

Im running it on the AC adapter, but the source it's plugged into has nothing else connected to it and theres no other electronic devices around to cause EMF interference... It also does the same thing on batteries.

Seen both of these on the Lyman site...

"Fluorescent lights, portable and cellular phones and other electronic scales and appliances can cause erratic readings. This includes proximity to furnaces and air conditioners."

        and

"Always allow the unit to stabilize for 24 hours if it has been in storage or out of service for a while."

Have you done the calibration on the unit, per the instructions?

Yep I followed the directions on the website and on the booklet it came with. It still reads at least 1gr off.

I would send it back. I have it's big brother the Accu Touch 2000 and it has been excellent.

The cheaper digital scales will drift and aren't suitable for reloading purposes, as they're not repeatable. Just the nature of the beast.

You get what you pay for and scales are one item that you don't want to cheap out on, IMO.
