Defective shotshells?

Hey all. I have a question about some Estate Dove Load shotshells I bought at one of the Crossroads shows. As you can see by the picture, some of the shells have the raised bump on the cap. Out of 50+ I fired a couple weeks ago, less than 10 had the bump. 2 actually broke as also seen in the picture. I was wondering if this is defective ammo, or something my shotgun is doing? I didn't bother to look at them beforehand so I'm not sure if it was there when I loaded the gun. Thanks in advance.

Are they getting stuck in the chamber a little and the extractor bending them?

It looks like whatever sized the brass caused that little defect, but I could be wrong

Unless they were reloaded, this happened when fired in your gun. Look at your extractor and see if it matches the fired hull, probably will.

If I remember correctly a few of them got stuck during extraction. I looked at them as I pulled them out and noticed it then. Once the torn part was caught in the extractor. Why would this happen? The day didn't start out like this, but it ended like this with these shells.
