There have been some issues with these throughout the country and with various lot #s. As far as powders go, 5010, 5050, 860, 869, 868, 20N29, AA8700, H50BMG etc. Most match shooters are either using 20N29 or H50BMG. You will need to decide on a projectile and then match it to a powder or visa versa. Also, some powders are very temperature sensitive. As far as bullets go, it really depends on what your goals are. I consider surplus projos to be capable of up to about 1.5 moa depending on which one you use, how you sort them and how you load them. Also, your choice in bullets might be limited depending on where you shoot. Even the ball you linked to has a steel core and is not allowed at many ranges. But, I think that is the best price on it currently. Just remember not to expect a great deal of accuracy from it.
so if i order some of these they might have problems?

i only shoot it about 200-300 yards i'm not a stickler for super accuracy

Some of the early blue box CCI 35's had issues, CCI stopped selling them and switched to the Arsenal ones (white box w/ black lettering) for the public. As far as I can tell the issues have been solved and the blue box primers are back on the market.

Most plinkers use 5010 as it's cheap and works good for plinking ammo like ball and AP. The next is 860 as it's also a cheap alternative for loading .50 stuff. You don't need H50BMG or one of the VV powders to load .50 stuff with unless you're looking to get the best accuracy out of it. Heck, I've used 5010 with AMAX and got good results. VV24N41 gave me really good results also out of my AR-50, the day I was shooting those loads I swear I couldn't miss. Seemed like all I had to do was place the crosshairs on the 600 yard target and the AMAX would splat dead center.

I'd assume it's new stock. 50Shooter is partially correct. I believe the problem has been corrected at the factory. But, there are still many old primers out there. Less than a month ago, I was at a match and someone had a couple primmer blow out. It's a scary thing that could cause injury and has damaged more than one rifle.

For 300 yd rock busting, ball or AP (as long as your shooting area allows them and it is safe) and 5010 (if you can find it) will work fine for you. Just remember 5010 and other surplus powders are not "canister grade" thus, you need to be extra cautious and each time you open a new lot, you should start with a low powder charge and work your way up.
