Making the rounds longer helped. Can I just keep trying them longer? At what point will they be too long?
    Don't panic bro.

When they no longer fit in your magazine.

And/or jam in the chamber which will lead to at a minimum a "EPIC FAIL" or even worser

I would keep it under 1.169" (SAAMI maximum OAL). As you get closer to this number you may experience feed problems as the rounds drag in your magazine, or your gun may fail to go into battery (both indicate you need to seat a little deeper).

I generally run my 9mm at 1.145" (good compromise number for my guns).

          Good luck, have fun.
