A picture if my first load batch!

44 mag. Started at minimum. I kinda liked them. A little light for my taste but good for plinking!

Not sure whats more fun. Packing the rounds? or blowing them up through a steel pipe! hehe

With loads like that, if you get the light right (at your back), you may be able to see the slugs go through the paper.

              Have fun, good luck.

Next time I would suggest only making five or so with 3.8gn and work up another five at 3.9gn and so on to see what your gun likes. Last thing you want to do is have to pull 49 rounds.

I have never tried x700 in my 44 mag. 3.8 grains would barely cover the bottom of the case. I personally use H110 at 23.5 grains with 240 grain bullets. Let me know how they work. I have two pounds of x700 I was using for 45s before I got my shipment of bullseye in. It's always nice to find a new purpose for it.

                Good luck and be safe

Looks good from here. That is pretty light, but that's up to you as long as it shoots.. 5gr makes a nice 44 special equivalent load.
