Which hand load is best? Pics

I tested some hand loads this weekend to see where she shoots best. Here are the results. They all look pretty good except the 6.0 but what's the best? 5.8, 6.2. I'm wondering why the 6.0 went bigger but 6.2 came back together??

Shot from my p226 9mm sig using unique and zero rn bullets

Hard to say in one test. Could be the Indian.

That said, if this is target ammo, there's no need to go beyond the minimum charge which produces accuracy and cycles the gun well. POA/POI could come into play if practicing for SD loads.

5.8 looks pretty good to me.

5.8 is good, save on powder.

I'd step out to say 50' and try the 5.6 & 5.8 again...assuming they all cycled well. POI is a bit different, but the patterns look too close to call.

If you aren't shooting ragged holes at 5 yards, just shoot whatever load feels the best to you. Even factory ammo should shoot under an inch at that range

Most of us aren't capable of outshooting our handguns without a rest of somekind.

5.8 looks the best. But at 5 yrds it should easily be 1 ragged hole, even with factory ammo. Try moving it back to 10 yrds and then 25.

Nice test target idea! I like Unique for 9mm too.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

15 yards for function and POI testing is OK but a farther distance will be much more revealing if accuracy is what you are seeking. 25 yards is the usual starting point for handguns. Also, using a good rest helps eliminate the "indian" from the equation.
