Cheddite Hulls

Hello,

Was looking at some new, primed, Cheddite hulls and wondered if they are any good. I seem to always see them in stock. With the hulls being new and primed, seems like a good deal.

Bad or good? For reloading purposes, what are the hulls most similar to? I cannot seem to find much info on them at all. Anyone have any experience using these new hulls?

Your basic straight wall 3 piece "eurotrash" hull. For general purpose loading just get a supply of once-fired Rem hulls.

My experience with the the 3" 12gauge is I can get about 3-4 loads out of them before the plastic start splitting at the lips on a few. I usually lose most of them before I even get around the the 4-5 reloads. I use them for duck hunting.

Thanks for the insight. Are they easy to reload? Anything I should be aware of when reloading them? Can't seem to find recipe info. Probably does not help that I am new to this.

Just stick to STS, Gun Club, and Win AA, you can't go wrong, and if you use the right load, they're interchangeable

They are easy to reload it's finding reload data that will be the problem. You're better off with what the other guys say if your just gonna shoot clays with 2.75", maybe 3", because data is readily available online from all the powder manufactueres and the after market guys who make the wads for remington, federal, and winchester hulls. I only shoot steel shot in the 3" cheddite and 3.5" Federal with data from RSI, PRI, and BPI. I do not know if they have data for lead loads for the 2.75" and 3". You will have to contact them.
