help identify bullets?

i recently received some '06 ammo i am told were gunshow reloads for m1. don't shoot '06 anymore so was going to pull bullets, i assumed the were a-max due to the red tip, but upon looking realized they had a cannelure on them, they weigh 168 grs, but i don't believe a-maxs' come with cannelures. any ideas? will post pics tonite if needed.

In that weight class, maybe GMX or SST. The GMX has two cannelure bands, the SST a single traditional cannelure. Although I think these are both 165gr versus 168gr.

they are definately a plastic ballistic type tip, wondering if they might TAP bullets pulled and reloaded into '06 case? are TAP bullets cannelured?
