Has anyone tried this combo in .223? How was the accuracy and what did you think of it?

I use it and have shot some .3 inch 5 shot groups at 100 yards. I use 28gr at 2.260 OAL. Nosler says max for a 40gr bullet is 29gr but my rifle didn't shoot well with anything above 28gr.
I found then same with 55gr bullets 25gr worked very well and the groups opened up at 25.5 to 26. I believe 26.8 is a max book load.
Varmint powder doesn't seem to like to push really hard. But it's real good in its sweet spot. If your not a speed freak then you can shoot some tiny groups with it.If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine. -
What rifle are you using? I have a Remington 700. I have 8lbs of vargret, but haven't tried it yet.Comment
