CMP Shipment Arrived Today!

200 rounds of 30-06 ammo from CMP arrived today! The can is pretty rusty but the contents are nice and shiny. I placed this order on March 4, 2013, so it took about eight weeks for it to arrive. I think I'll have to place another order.

I just placed an order for two cans a few days ago. At 50 cents a round you can't beat it, especially right now. Every now and then if there's some extra funds, I'll place an order. The Garands have to eat!! Just need an 03A3 and its a date lol

Wow, I placed an order for 400rds in early February and have not seen anything. Maybe the two Garands I also ordered are holding things up? I though CMP would ship the while they get caught up on Garands.

I was looking at getting some of the Greek ball ammo from CMP but since it attracts a magnet I can't shoot it at any of the ranges around LA. Where do you So. Cal guys go to shoot it?

I ordered some hxp on march 6th and mine is in transit, those en blocs I ordered at the same time are still processing though.

Yeah that's the one draw back with the HXP ammo. Usually I'll just go out to the desert on some BLM land (Kern County, Barstow) when I want to shoot my Mosin and Garands. I'm saving the HXP brass so I can start reloading, then I can use it at the local ranges. I just need to get setup to reload rifle cartridges.

Hey diver, did they notify you when they shipped? They charged my CC but when I look at my order all it says for shipping is ASAP.

Hmm, what alerted me was I got an email alert said my ammo was enroute. It had the FEDEX tracking number and everything.

Back when I was still shooting my Garands, I bought ammo from the CMP because I simply couldn't reload .30-06 cheaper than the CMP was selling ammo.

I miss those days...

Sweet!! I'm waiting for the CMP to start selling the clipped ammo again. Hopefully they do, once they make a dent in their millions of loose ammo.
