Bottle neck rifle, and pistol are different. You have to trim, chamfer, and debur rifle, not so much with pistol. You don't have to flare rifle, Both could need swaging.

1A1, pick the one you feel like you want us to go over with you. Both are pretty easy, rifle will take a little longer. It's your choice.

Reloading metallic cartridges is pretty much all the same. The main differences are between bottle necked/tapered cartridges and straight walled cartridges. While both types can be reloaded exactly the same way, for straight walled cartridges almost everyone tends not to trim them. For reloading bottle necked many do not flare the case before seating bullets. So, just pick a common round and let us know. We just need to make sure we have dies and components for you or, you have your own.

We have a variety of single stage presses. In the end, they all work pretty much the same so, it's no big deal to learn on one type and then move to another type. Of course, if you want to bring your own press, you're free to use it in the class.

ok I see, thanks toes. I'll be good with the 30-06 then. I just want to know a caliber out of those that could give me the most experience and training in the class so I can venture out into reloading on my own afterwords. So I will go on the teachers judgement then with the 06.

Count me in! I'll do 223. What presses will be available? I'm just getting into reloading and bought a Lee Classic Turret so hopefully one will be available so I can learn on what I'll be using. Maybe I can bring mine if space allows it along with the dies and brass

I'm pretty sure we can manage that.

I think I'll do 30-06. I also bought a Lee Progressive awhile back but never set it up. Can I bring that and learn how to set it up as well? If we have time, I would like to learn to do .223 too...if we have time.

^Possibly after class. If I remember correctly Intoforever has one(maybe two) of those lee progressives and should be able to help you get started on that. During the clinic though I'd like to keep everybody on a single stage press learning the basics. Once you get that down, then focus on going fast.

Oh, and don't worry about .223 vs 30-06. For bottle neck cartridges the steps are exactly the same. The components are just a different size
