There is a guy on YouTube that successfully accomplished that in a full length AR15. The cast boolit was obviously gas checked. The carbine gas system would not cycle the round. It is possible, if you have the time to work up loads, play with different lubes, etc.

I have pleanty of FMJ, 40gn Ballistic tips, and Steel cores... I just need powder... well, and extra primers.

It is a good idea, but can you size, plate them at home, then size after plating? That might be a good option too, however you could get 60gn Aguila 22lr, and try that...

The aguila you mentioned falls out if the sky... Littelary i watched every bullet drop infront of the target

Go to castboolits, there are many people shooting cast in .223 , I use cast in all my rifles except 22 cal. The bullets are too darn small for me to want to handle. I do however cast for my 25-06.
