Ammo supply much better up north

    Actually it sucks there too!!

Made a drive up to Vancouver WA these past few days. On the way up through NoCal, OR, and SoWA hit a few Wal Marts, Cabella's, LGSs. Same story everywhere...nothing, nada, zilch. I guy I met at a Wal Mart in Washington and he said to try the small town farm supply stores in OR for .22lr. He said they sometimes have it for the farmers shooting varmints. He came across from Idaho and said none of the large stores on his way had any .22. I stopped at a feed store that didn't have any ammo but did have a bulletin board in front where I found a guy that had three 333 bricks of Winchester copper plated HPs for $15/ea. So got a thousand rounds to plink with for my efforts.

Was hoping the ammo situation was different in other states. Not sure why I thought it would be...wishful thinking I guess!!

    same here

OP, that's been my experience, too. I had an opportunity to grab 1K of LPP, and it cost me 60 bucks in Bishop Ca! But it was the first of anything, either .22s or components, that I had seen in weeks. I still have to figure out how I'm going to get to the gun stores on Tueday morning when .22s are delivered around here. The need to be at work gets in the way.

But even with things as they are, I am sure glad I reload.
