    LOHMAN ARMS

Anybody here have any buying experience with Lohman Arms? They show just about everything related to reloading in stock, and some rather decent prices too. Doesn't seem right.

    Their front page states

Due to the unprecedented volume of orders, the website may not be updated as frequently as we would like. ALMOST EVERYTHING IS ON BACK ORDER.\

WE ARE TAKING BACK ORDERS and have been filling most in 4 -10 weeks right now. With the increased volume of orders an order placed today will ship in 8 + weeks on relaoding supplies and loaded ammo will be longer.

Your credit card will be authorized for the purchase amount as soon as an order is placed. When your order is ready to ship we will collect payment. We will call to advise the status of your order after it has been placed

This is right on their front page. 8+ weeks on reloading supplies doesn't sound like "in stock" to me, are they contradicting what the other pages on their site says that they actually have in stock? They are showing basically everything reloading in supply on the product pages but I bet they don't have hardly anything in stock according to the front page notice above.

If you don't mind waiting a few months, order some supplies and tell us what happens.

I don't think everything on the website is in stock, but they do allow you to backorder and don't charge your credit card until it ships. I ordered some loaded ammo a little over a month ago and just got tracking number yesterday. I exchanged email with them and spoke to them on phone, my gut feeling is they are good people doing the best they can during these crazy times.
Maybe you could shoot them an email or give them a call and ask about the status of item(s) you are interested in?
P.S. It did take them a week or so to answer my email and when I spoke to them on phone it was because they called me.

Jedediah - Thanks for answering my question. I'm doing pretty good on supplies right now so no immediate urgency. I'll keep checking their site as it appears they're not price gouging.

I just finished submitting an order to Lohmans for CCI small rifle and pistol primers. I'll keep the thread updated on the outcome.

                Lohman's

I'm taking the plunge. I need primers and haven't been able to find them anywhere else. I'll let you know how it goes. They don't actually charge your card until it ships, but your $ will not be available to you as it will be on hold.

Kelly & noplay - Thanks for the threads. I've been saving up for a large primer and powder purchase to stockpile. Do tell how your orders go.

Guys, this isn't hard. They have a phone number. I called a few weeks back and asked if they would take a back order for Wolf SRPM primers, and what their expected delivery was. Response from the nice lady "Yes we will, and around 8 weeks or so." They charge upon order. Haven't received a delivery, but I don't expect to for a least 6 weeks.

                      I just cancelled my order.

After 10 weeks waiting for my primer order, I called Lohmans, and she told me that she had no idea when they were coming in. Someone else may have the ability to hold hundreds of dollars in the wind waiting for a back order, but I know that I have actually passed up opportunities to get primers in the last 10 weeks because of anticipation of a vendor supplying what I ordered. So I made the call to cancel this order. If Lohmans could at least send out emails explaining that they were still working on trying to fill these orders I might have been less likely to cancel the order. I sent emails that were not answered and finally got someone to answer the phone today. Very dissappointed.

I put in an order for primers on 5/12. Still no word but I'm figuring it will be another 5-6 weeks before I hear something.

I ordered 16 lbs of powder last month from Lohman, 8 ea of Accurate 2460 and No.5, shipped 2 days later, arrived at my door a week after that.

coincidentally, that same week, 4# of 2460 I had backordered from Midway came in after 5 months

I think I'm good on powder for a while.

Primers on the other hand, no dice.
