What the article doesn't say is that most police agencies using airsoft for training are using airsoft for scenario-based force on force training, not marksmanship training. Airsoft cannot replace live fire, but can supplement it greatly for specific training needs.

Airsoft trajectory wouldnt help the LEO at all, to much affecting the round bb to be anything like a real bullet.
