Tula 7.62x39mm

Is Tula 7.62x39mm good to go for our CA outdoor ranges?

Walmart had 7.62x39mm Tula so I scored three boxes at the Glendora store.

The only other ammo was .270 and .300 Win Mag.

Nope. Most outdoor ranges will ban it. The casing is steel and the bullet itself is bi-metal (lead, steel, copper). Both are magnetic and will be banned simply because of it.

Depends on the range several in NorCal allow it

My range is good with it because its not steel core. Only has steel in the jacket

Just a note;

As others have said, THEIR range allows it, but I also know for a fact MOST outdoor ranges DO NOT.

To be sure, I would simply check with the range you intend to visit before hand, because they may or may not allow it.
