    Midway Keeps Teasing me....

Just like everyone else, Ive been waiting patiently for primers to arrive at a non screw me price when suddenly I get a product arrival notification from Midway. Your primers have arrived (Tula SP 1000) count. Sweet I think, I immediately log in and wha wha wha they are already gone...Ok, crap Im too slow on the trigger....While Im searching again on midways site looking at the 5000 count box (it says they are out). I get another notification saying that the 5000 count are in. What the hell???

They are teasing me...Whats up with that????

Has this happened to anyone else?

      That's happened to me too.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

        this.

the email queue for notifications on a popular item could be an hour long, or more. the first couple people to get the email buy what they need and let their friends know. inventory is all sold before the mail server processes the entire batch.

Or, you see the email, log in, see its in stock and put it in your cart and go to check out. while checking out, it goes OOS. you think, wow, it sold out in 3 minutes where it really might have taken 30 minutes to sell out, but you didn't get sent the email until it had been in stock for 25 minutes.

I have received my email notifications up to three hours after I see the item posted as in stock in the calguns forums. I give up on getting anything from Midway from the notifications. The first couple times I got all excited and as soon as I open the link its out of stock.

I read my email from them just less than 4 hours after it was sent, no primers left.

I've also had the opposite happen. Received email, checked site immediately and it's OOS. Then like an hour later when I turn my laptop or ipad back on and the page refreshed all of a sudden it's in stock.

Happened to me last week. I was looking for a Forster micrometer seating die in .308. Midway sent me an email telling me it was in stock. An hour later I read the email clicked on the link. "out of stock". Ordered it from Brownells.

Primers at Midway are gone as soon as they get them. I have gotten several Sierra bullets and an AR stock through there notification email worked for me.

The frustrating thing was this whole event transpired on monday morning. Which I was checking availability the Friday, Saturday and Sunday before. So the only thing I can think of is their "email notification" servers a way slower or on a different system as their web page...which kind of sucks, when you have a hot item.

The hunt continues. Overall I like the company and would still buy from them, but what the hell. Ill just piss and moan like everyone else.
