When reloading, garage open or closed?

I live in an area that is a "school zone".

I have to admit that I feel very uncomfortable opening up my garage door when I am reloading. In fact, when I am not reloading, the press is covered soto keep eyes off of it.

Paranoid? I don't know...just seems prudent at this time.

    Anyone else have that?

I just make it a general rule to not display it. I do the same door closed or press covered. I also use an old sheet to cover the safes

My Garage in Sacramento didn't face the street, just the neighbors garage, but I always kept the garage open when I was in there, (i.e. Reloading, making Pew Pew Gun noises, working on motorcycles, lawn care, etc. )

Honestly friends always ask what type of machine the press is, since it doesn't inherently scream "this makes bullets".

But it is your house, your feelings and uncomfortableness... If you wanted to leave the garage door open while you reload, look into a welding curtain or borrow the wife's fabric room dividers, to give you some privacy on the workbench..

I leave the garage closed. I have a side door in the garage so I keep that open.

Not paranoid at all, just the smart thing to do. I live in a "school zone" too but keeping my door closed has nothing to do with it. I would keep it closed even if I wasn't in a school zone or had no local neighbors. If you use a digital scale, they are sensitive to temp change and wind, you might get erroneous readings.

I open or close my garage door based on the sun. When the suns low In the afternoon It shines directly on my work benches and its just too hot to leave the door open.

I personally prefer to keep my garage closed. The majority of my neighbors are gun owners and go shooting with me. They know what I have in my garage. My concern is the random person driving down my street. No reason for them to know what's in my garage.

I do a little of both, I have a three car garage, keep the main door closed with the one door open, and the back door open. Somedays though everything is closed, kind of depends on time of day.

I live about 9 houses from an elementary school. Kids walk past the house all the time. I still have never felt a need to intentionally keep the garage closed while reloading. I've reloaded with it open tons of times. I have enough stuff to worry about. Whether or not someone sees me reloading in my garage doesn't concern me in the least.

Also anyone that walks by and looks into my garage whether I'm loading or not sees this. Pretty obvious I reload to anyone that knows what they're looking at.

Also I think the common people would not know what a press is/what it does

Side door open when it's hot. if it's real warm, I'll open the main door part way to help get a breeze. Nobody needs to know. Too many toys for curious eyes.
