    Kudos to RCBS

I recently bought a new, or were they?, set of RCBS SB AR 223 Dies, for what else but to reload for two S&W M&P-15 Sports. Sadly I did not notice until after resizing 150 cases that the neck portion of the sizing die was scratching the case necks, cleaning the die making no improvement. Called RCBS Customer Service this morning and a new ‘inspected 2011 die’ is on the way! They suspect the dies were used and have a build up of brass in the neck, anyway, they requested I return the defective die along with a sized case and if it can be repaired, polished out, they’ll return it as a spare.

Yeah, RCBS is top notch. I got a 223 case stuck in my die and when I told them I was trying to load 200 rounds for a rifle class I was taking that weekend, they overnighted me a new die PLUS 200 rounds of Fiochhi 223 ammo!!

Nah i'm kidding about the ammo. They did send me a new resizing decapping pin though. The old one was busted up pretty good from me trying to unstick the case by banging on it with a hammer.

That is why they cost more than cheaper dies, and they are worth every penny.

From a customer support standpoint, RCBS is second to none. I broke one of the pivots on my RCBS 1010.

I contacted them looking to buy a replacement beam. They told me that each scale was calibrated individually (which I understood, but was willing to do myself). They explained they didn't offer separate beams and said they would be sending along a complete replacement scale! I repeated that I had broken the beam. No problem, a new 1010 arrived a few days later. $150 scale replaced after I broke it. Amazing.

BTW, I have 3 case mouth hand chamfer/deburr tools. Recently I bought one to have in my range kit. The RCBS hand chamfer/deburr tool is by far the best I have owned, which include Hornaday and LE Wilson. Really, at the end of the day, you can always do worse by not buying RCBS.

Yes they have great service even on stuff you buy used. No questions asked and usually do not need to send in the broken item. Unlike lee who has very poor service.

You get what you pay for. RCBS is quality all around

RCBS customer service is amazing... they have even taken care of me on things that were my fault.

They have a customer for life due to my experiences...

Totally agree. I think Hornady customer service is good too but I would still put RCBS on top. It makes me more confident to know that since I'll be buying a Chargemaster Combo in the near future.

I found in general American made/ Firearm industry all have top notch CS. You pay a little more but its worth every penny in my opinion. I just bent a roll pin punch made by Grace USA, it was my fault and told them this. Emailed the company next day I got a email that it was shipped out, no questions asked. When package arrived 3 days later it had a nice little hand written note on the presidents business card, from the president saying "if you ever need anything feel free to contact me directly" WoW! will forever be a customer. Moral of the story, buy American made, buy once cry once, and support America.

To stay on topic though, RCBS is good in my book, bent a swager rod, they sent it out free and a few extra depriming pins. A+
