Should I reload this pulled brass or not

So I made an error with my powder and pulled all my 223 rounds as recommended by everyone on calguns...so after examining my brass, all the pulled brass has a nick or an indentation on it...some smaller and some bigger...can' trim it down since they have already been trimmed and prepped.

So question is, can i still use this brass safely(it was once fired)? not sure if these nicks will have any negative impact on me or weapon.. Also, if i do fire them, will they stretch so that I can resize and trim them again?

I think I would hit it with a deburr on both the inside (so you don't scrape the bullet when seating) and the outside of the mouth (so the round doesn't snag on anything during feed). After you fire it and resize it with a F/L dies you can trim again and make things look pretty.

thanks, I have no idea why it has a nick...none of my other brass has any nicks in it..just the ones that I pulled, but I still don't know why it would have that nick on it. Thanks for the peace of mind. I wanted to double check...I wasnt sure that nick would cause the case to split after firing...i was thinking about chamfering and deburring before i seat, so glad you mentioned that!

If you want to just load them as plinkers, you can trim past the nick. My first reloading session I trimmed quite a few too short, and they shot fine to 100yd.

Load them. I got the same nick on a few of my 308 after I pulled them.
