Knock off ammo

Is there such a thing? Imitation name brand ammo?

I have read about FGMM knock-offs showing up in the market. I am pretty certain I got a batch of knock-off 155gr AMAX's (I measured the ogive's and also weighed, they were litterally all over the place). When I called Hornaday they were totally stumped with the measurements I had gotten, said it basically couldn't happen with their production.

There was a complete knock-off Apple store in China, selling complete knock-off Apple products, the people thought they were working for Apple... Anything can be knocked off.

China has made counterfeit Radway Green 7.62 NATO and Lake City .30 Carbine ammo in the past. They did this so they could clandestinely arm communist insurgencies, not so they could sell the ammo for more money.

^^^ I have some of that fake Radway stuff. My 1919 eats it and it makes a huge fireball!
