    inventoried my ammo

Got some ammo cans so I cleaned up my safe and condensed my ammo into the cans, heres my list,

    750 9mm FMJ
    250 9mm JHP
    700 .45 JHP
    800 .45 FMJ
    600 .40 JHP
    1950 .40 FMJ
    3100 .22LR
    1500 .223/5.56
    330 12ga

I want to get about 2500 rounds of each of my pistol calibers and about 5000 rounds of 5.56 but with this damn ammo sortage I cant get up to it any time soon, hopefully by the end of the year it will get better.

Not too shabby at all. Should suffice for a day's worth of zombie killin'.

It's not a great time to get into reloading, and with the *** hat legislation who knows nows what will happen... But I started reloading as soon as I got into firearms and it's awesome. I have a decent stash, but when it comes down to it I would like to load up at least 1k of full house loads for each caliber. Plinking ammo is better than no ammo, but I feel I have to bolster up with ammo that is factory minimum or +P for SHTF purposes.

yea I want to get in to reloading also, I heard there was a range somewhere down in the southbay/torrance area that does a free reloading class, anyone have any ideas which?

If there are notice boards at your local ranges try putting up a note asking if anyone can help teach/assist you with reloading.

It can be a little daunting at first, but after a while it is quite enjoyable and easy to safely reload your own rounds. Having someone to hand, or at the end of a phone to answer questions is a great help.

Have a look on youtube for videos on the reloading process. Initially look for reloading using a basic lee classic loader kit and that will give the basic steps. After that everything else is related to doing things in a little more refined and/or faster way.

Just don't get blase about safety with that refinement and speed !

I would be worried if that is all I had.

Got to admit I got caught on .22. So focused on other calibers running up to the election didn't see a shortage of .22 coming. Down to 2000 Mini-Mag. Weird, the only caliber I'm rationing is .22. Other than that, I'm fat. Too bad I can't reload .22.

Doesn't count if you didn't load it yourself!

For the money you spent on that ammo, you probably could have invested in a Reloading Press. But you do have a decent stash of factory ammo. I think my stash of Factory ammo is about 10% of my total & that is because someone who likes me gave me 400 rounds of 223 last week.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
