New Member Ammo Question

I picked up several 300 rd. Battle Packs of 5.56 x 45mm. I am curious if anyone has had any experience with this ammo good or bad? I paid $100 for each pack and would hate to break open the seals until I am ready.

It is marked 300RD 5.56x45 Ball M1A4 CTN 043 D 96. Image attached

You got a pretty good deal on that. Where did you get it and do they have more?

Edit: That ammo is South African. It's supposed to be good.

I bought all he had because it sounded like a good deal. Just hope it is. Bought from a Sheriff.

looks like s. african.... my experience with it is its loaded pretty hot...5.56 chambered rifle no prob..... 223 chamber depends on rifle.... might get sticky extraction ect...ck your barrel ...223 or 5.56...cheers...

Yes it's SA as others have stated. As long as you have a 5.56mm chamber then you are good to go. Even a Wylde chamber you are good.

They are horrible rounds. I'll take them off your hands for proper disposal. I'll reimburse you what you paid.

Thanks for the info guys. Gonna run them through the mini14. May take a while but will do my best to get rid of them.
