    Found this today, Figured someone here may enjoy it as it's not quite "Deals forum worthy" imho.

    Would this stuff be re-loadable or best for scrap? Group buy potential maybe?
    Anyway, have fun.



    3,470 lbs (approx) Fired brass to include 40% 7.62MM, 40% 5.56MM and 20% 9mm casings stored in 1 Tri-Wall Box on 1 wood pallet located at 291 Hickam Ave BLDG 724, Travis AFB, CA.
    Head stamps to include but are not limited to LC-11, WCC-11, WCC-01. Lot may contain cartridges with other markings. Approx 2-3% of shells may be damaged in some way.Container may contain blank and ball fired shell casings

      But have you seen what they sell for? 1000#'s of 5.56 sold for over 11k. Way above the market value. That is approximately 76k casings. They go about $100 for 1k. I don't know what kind of profit they make but...

      And I have seen them go for even higher.

        I've never seen government auctions for casings, only for scrap metal.

              So the price gets real high? who reloads this stuff? Any commercial people reload it for resale?

                Most of it goes for making locks.
                A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
