I just sized and decapped some 357 brass and belled the mouths, but don't plan on loading them for a while (a couple months, maybe more). I don't have a carbide die, so I used some Imperial sizing wax.
I was going to tumble the brass to remove the residual wax, but I got to thinking about fingerprints and discoloration on the raw prepped brass in storage. I know that a little tarnish doesn't matter, but I'm a little OCD about these things, so humor me.
I plan on tumbling the wax off the brass before I prime, charge, and seat, but I was wondering...
Will the wax harden or be difficult to remove if I leave it in-place during storage? If I clean the brass now, I'll probably re-tumble it again. I like prepping brass, I don't like separating cases from media.
